The Nightshift Before Christmas by Annie O’Neil has plenty drama and a sensual dash of romance intertwined to make for an entertaining escape from reality. As a reader you are drawn into the story by characters that are imperfect yet at their respective jobs show remarkable qualities and this has you rooting for them. The characters interact well and of course there is that electric undercurrent lingering between them…acting on their attraction simmers up the plot. But what’s a romance without that unfolding element blocking the hero and heroine from reaching their HEA? The author ties up the loose ends nicely and it’s hard not to enjoy the journey the story takes you! Overall, a really good romance that has that touch of the season as bonus. Nevertheless, enjoyable until the end.
