Firewolf by Jenna Kernan

firewolfWhen opposites attract, the sparks ignite more than they bargained for…

Dylan Tehauno is a hotshot, an expert in preventing and fighting forest fires. He knows that the inferno that killed a tech billionaire was no accident–and he suspects that he and filmmaker Meadow Wrangler were supposed to die, too. When lawmakers identify Dylan as a prime suspect, he and Meadow decide to find the real arsonist themselves.

Dylan and Meadow have nothing in common. He’s a proud Apache and a war hero, a self-made man. She’s a rich girl with a tabloid past. But there’s no denying the heat between them. Is there more to their attraction than physical desire? Will they survive long enough to find out?

The story took me out for a breathless, tumultuous ride. I was on the edge of my seat as Dylan Tehauno and Meadow Wrangler fought through a myriad of perilous situations after Dylan becomes the prime suspect in the murder of a tech billionaire. With the law and the enemy out to get them, Dylan and Meadow are forced to work together to prove their innocence by finding the real arsonist (talk about nail-biting suspense!).

Overall, the story was gripping, intense and raw. I felt the deep tension between Dylan and Meadow as they dodged the threats looming in their paths. I rooted for them both because I wanted to see justice served. In the end, the ways in which author Jenna Kernan bends the plot to propel the story forward kept me turning the pages and when all the loose ends were tied up I gave a victorious fist pump.
